Food Security Grant Program / State of Alaska
awarded $1,500,000 to eligible Food Banks and Food Pantries.

All Alaskans face food security challenges given our remote geographic location in relation to high food production areas. Factors such as, food costs, shipping costs, and access to community support services play significant roles in achieving food security in Alaska.

Community Wildfire Defense

2025 was the third year of this opportunity, the USDA received 573 applications requesting more than $1.6 billion. Applications came from 40 states, three U.S. territories and 48 Tribes and Alaska Native Corporations. Review panels made up of representatives from Tribes and state forestry agencies selected 58 proposals totaling $200 million. The awarded projects span 22 different states and only two Tribes.

Congressionally-Directed Spending Requests included in the 2026 Appropriations Bill

The FY 2026 appropriations process includes opportunities to fund local projects identified by Alaskans. This process works through Senator Murkowski’s office.

New Path Services, Incorporated

29 Years of Experience

New Path Tribal Services is a small family business located in Fairbanks but we lived in Bethel many years.  Our business started in 2016 when, after 20 years of service to a regional non-profit, it became clear that the needs of villages were not being met. Our vision is to work with tribal governments to improve the quality of life for families in Alaska, developing programs that meet the unique needs of each community and also satisfy the requirements for competitive grants. New Path Tribal Service works with a limited number of tribes on an annual contract.
